Detectives with the Middleton Police Department are looking for answers to an early morning stabbing that left a man injured.
Officers responded shortly before 5 a.m. Thursday morning, after a 37-man was attacked on his way home from Hody Bar & Grill on Aurora Street.
Captain Troy Hellenbrand with the Middleton Police Department says there was more than one attacker.
Local business owners tell NBC15 the neighborhood where this all happened is usually quiet.
"Everybody should feel the same way about the neighborhood, and I think it's a nice area here," said Eric Kim, who runs a Korean restaurant only a block away from where the stabbing was.
Kim says he couldn't believe it when he found out.
"I heard that and now I'm like... really shocked actually," he said.
Now detectives in Middleton face a challenge for solving a crime they say they don't usually deal with.
"It's concerning for our community and we're hoping to find out who is responsible and have the case solved," Capt. Hellenbrand said.
Middleton Police are now asking you to call them if you have any information about the stabbing.
