Plenty of prep work goes into getting Miller Park ready for game day. There's two acres of turf out there on that field and its no easy task getting it ready for all 81 games during the regular season.
It's a 250 acre park that four full time and 40 part time employees tend to. Attention to detail- the crew's motto. "The players, when they come out every night they have the right to expect the best surface possible that we can produce here in Milwaukee. We work every day to make sure that it is ready by game time whether game time is 7:10pm like tonight, 6:10pm like tomorrow, or 1:10pm like it's going to be on Sunday," said Michael Boettcher; Director of Grounds at Miller Park.
The control room has also been a busy place. This room feeds video to all displays and TV's in the concourse, which add up to about 550. 22 people man the control room on game day, making sure you get the ultimate game day experience. The control room is also where the organist plays during the game. The current organist has been playing for Brewer games since 2003. He got the job when he was just 19-years-old!
