UPDATE: Woman who walked away from Monona mental health care facility found

Monona Police say that Montserrat Zacarias, who walked away from a mental health care facility, has been found in Minnesota.

The Monona Police Department would like to thank all those who called in tips. Officers say a tip helped them find her.

Monona Police are looking for a 25-year-old woman who walked away from a mental health care facility.

Police say Monserrat Zacarias suffers from mental health issues, has no friends or family in the area and may not be able to care for herself in the winter weather.

Monserrat was last seen at the intersection of Monona Drive and Dean Avenue on Tuesday, December 24th at about 12:05 p.m.

Monona Police have received information that Montserrat Zacarias was seen in the Sauk City area and was asking for and may have received a ride to the Minneapolis area.

Anyone with information should call their local police department, the Monona Police at (608) 222-0463, Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014 or you can text your information to “MONONA” and TIP411 (847411).
