From the Monroe Police Department:
At 9:54 a.m. an incident occurred involving a city sanitation vehicle and a pedestrian. The truck was operated by John C. McDemott (age 38) of Browntown, WI and occupied by coworker Mitchell D. Kundert (age 18) of Monroe, WI.
The pedestrian, Christopher M. Miller (age 39) of Monroe, WI, sustained undetermined injuries as a result of falling from the vehicle.
It was learned that a confrontation preceded the incident, in which Miller attached himself to the truck as it continued another 960 feet before letting go and being struck by a wheel.
Miller was transported to the Monroe Clinic Hospital by ambulance.
There is no evidence of alcohol or drugs being a factor.
The incident remains under investigation by the Monroe Police Department.
The Green County Sheriff's Department was also contacted for assistance.
