The 46th annual Mount Horeb Summer Frolic is officially underway and organizers are hoping for a big turnout this year, with all the money raised going back into the community.
From sizzling steak sandwiches, to the hearty walking tacos; all the money raised helping bring upgrades and improvements to Mount Horeb parks and programs, showcasing all the beauty that the village has to offer.
"We raise a lot of money for our different groups and our parks and activities in Mount Horeb. We plant trees and we donate money for baseball fields, equipment; all kinds of stuff," said President of the Summer Frolic Committee, Rob Boelkes.
And the Summer Frolic is a perfect way to bring the community together, through a little friendly competition, like volleyball! Area musicians also set to take the stage. "We have Charm School rejects Friday from 8pm to close, and Saturday night we have Cherry Pie from 8pm to close.
The rides are waiting for passengers, the food is waiting to be devoured! Boelkes added, "all roads lead to the Summer Frolic so come on down and have a good time!"
There's great raffle prizes up for grabs too! Grand prize is a vacation to Jamaica. The winner of that prize will be announced Sunday after the parade downtown which starts at noon.
