New twist to convicted killer story

It was a case that rocked Iowa County .

Back in May of 1983, 14-year-old Peter Zimmer brutally killed his entire family in their Mineral Point home. He stabbed his brother and shot his parents.

Wisconsin law at the time didn't allow Zimmer to be charged as an adult. There was no trial, and he spent just four years in a juvenile facility.

After serving his sentence, he moved to Florida with a new name, hefty trust fund, and a hidden past.

Fast forward to 2009, still living in Florida, he was back in the hot seat, this time with the name Joe Collier. He was for stalking his ex-girlfriend.

This girlfriend was one of many Zimmer's had since that gruesome day back in 1983. He's reportedly been married at least twice and engaged a handful of times. The latest engagement was to a woman down in Texas.

Still going by the name Joe Collier, he was confronted by his latest fiancee, yesterday. An awkward moment one can imagine, the woman found out through a TV special that her soon-to-be-husband had a dark past.

And in case you're wondering...the couple is now longer engaged.
