The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office is releasing the name of the man killed in the three car crash on February 5th in the Town of Windsor. The crash happened on USH 51 at or about 2115 hrs. The driver that died in the crash is identified as:
Mr. Schneider’s death was the result of the injuries sustained in the traffic crash. Additional toxicology testing is underway at this time.
This case remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Madison, WI. February 5, 2013 – At 9:19 pm, Dane County Sheriff’s deputies, along with DeForest Police, Fire and EMS responded to a report of a three vehicle crash on US Highway 51, south of Vinburn Rd., in the Township of Windsor.
The investigation revealed that a male subject, age 33, was operating a Saturn southbound on US Highway 51, in the northbound lane, when he struck two northbound vehicles. The female operators of the northbound vehicles, ages 29 and 35, were transported to local hospitals to be treated for injuries sustained in the crash. Their injuries do not appear to be life threatening. The male driver of the southbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
US Highway 51 was closed for approximately 3 hours while emergency responders and the Dane County Crash Reconstruction Team worked at the scene. Deputies believe alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash. The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the male following the notification to the family.
