Release from Rock County Sheriff's Office:

On Saturday, 07/28/12 at 6:16 a.m., Deputies from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office along with Turtle Township Police, Turtle Township Fire, and City of Beloit Paramedics responded to a report of a single vehicle head-on crash with a tree on CTH J east of Smith Road in Turtle Township.

Upon arrival, police found a 1999 Chevy Suburban crashed into a tree with extensive front end damage. The driver, 17 year old Noah J. Morris of LaPrairie Township was pinned in the drivers seat and not breathing. EMS was unable to revive Morris and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:35 a.m. by the Rock County Coroner Chief Deputy Louis Smit.

Investigation of the scene shows that Morris was westbound on CTH J when he left the roadway on the south side of the road, striking an embankment. The Suburban became airborne striking a large size tree where the vehicle came to a rest. Morris was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. The crash remains under investigation by the Turtle Township Police.
