From the Adams County Sheriff's Office:
The Adams County Deputy involved in the fatal shooting on September 5, 2012 is Deputy Jeremiah Ballew.
Also present at the time of the incident was Deputy Todd Johnson and Deputy Jonathan Lewicki. Both have been returned to full duty.
Deputy Ballew has been placed on light administrative duty while the Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation completes their investigation.
No other information is being released at this time.

From the Adams County Sheriff's Office:
The man fatally wounded by the Adams County Sheriff's Deputy has been identified as Douglas G. Natzke, age 41, of 1195 S. Czech Ct., Preston, WI.
The Deputy involved is 27 years of age and has been with the Sheriff's Office for 4 years.
More information concerning the Deputy will be released by the Sheriff's Office in the coming days, as the investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation progresses.

An Adams County Sheriff's Deputy is on administrative leave after a man is shot dead this morning.
Here is the Press Release from Adams County Sheriff's Office:
The Adams County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of gunfire in the Town of Preston in the early morning hours of September 5, 2012.
Responding Sheriff's Deputies confronted an armed subject outside of his residence. A Sheriff's Deputy fired his duty weapon, fatally wounding a 41-year-old male subject.
The Deputy has been placed on administrative leave.
The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the incident.
No other injuries were sustained.
