UPDATE: Woman Rushed to Hospital After Crash on Highway 12

UPDATED Tuesday, April 23, 2013 --- 3:22 p.m.

Dane Co. deputies say a woman suffered serious injuries after rear-ending a tractor hauling a manure spreader today.

The crash happened around 12:25 p.m. on Highway 12, just south of Kickaboo Road. That's in the town of Springfield.

Deputies say 26-year-old Angela Fiscus of Dane was pinned in her car after hitting the tractor and manure spreader. She was freed and taken to UW Hospital by Med Flight. While her injuries are serious, deputies say they are not considered life threatening at this time.

The tractor driver was not injured. Deputies say citations are pending at this time.

Authorities say one person has been transported to the hospital by Med Flight after a crash on Highway 12.

It happened shortly before 1:00 Tuesday afternoon near Kickaboo Road.

Authorities at the scene tell our photojournalist that a vehicle hit a piece of farm equipment.

There is no information on the condition of the person transported.
