Madison Police are investigating 25 paintball attacks and other break-ins in less than a month on the city's East side.
Residents Between Cottage Grove Rd. and Pflaum Rd. on both sides of South Stoughton Rd. are reporting late-night attacks.
Those include paintball shootings on houses in the area as well as car window break-ins where nothing is being reported stolen.
It's a problem that is becoming both common, and expensive.
"In many of these cases we've got people who have had to contact their insurance companies and take their cars in because of hundreds of dollars in damages," said Madison Police Spokesperson Joel DeSpain.
Police say they are struggling for leads since the vandals strike late at night . If you have any information they ask you contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.

@BEN.. no one deserves to be shot and killed, even if they are vandalizing peoples cars, they deserve to be punished but not SHOT and KILLED.
Good point!!
They will come on the wrong property some night and they will be shot and killed like they deserve. Best part is castle doctrine protects the shooter. Luv WI.
