Pedestrian Hit by Car on Verona Rd.

Incident Date: 01/11/2013 - 7:20 PM

Address: Verona Rd. @ Atticus Way

Details: A 51-year old pedestrian was struck by a car while trying to cross Verona Rd. at Atticus Way Friday night. He was taken to a hospital with a broken leg and other injuries. Witnesses said the man was in a crosswalk, but that Verona Rd. traffic had a green light. A southbound driver did not see the pedestrian. The driver was not cited.

    Maybe people should learn to not walk against the light...

    I see people cross the road there all the time against the light. At night it's especially hard because of the poor lighting. Maybe a pedestrian bridge would do well there.
