Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run crash in Janesville

Janesville Police say a man was injured Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash.

It happened just before 6:18 p.m. in front of the BMO Harris Bank at 2608 S. Highway 51.

Officers say Darren Hayes was walking in the far right southbound lane when he was hit by a southbound vehicle. The vehicle did not stop.

Hayes suffered a substantial leg injury, but was able to call 911.

The suspect vehicle has not been found or identified. Anyone with information on this hit-and-run crash or any possible suspect should call the Janesville Police Department at 608-755-3100.
