Press Release from the Adams Co. Sheriff's Office:

On February 4, 2012 at 9:51 p.m., the Adams County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle on STH 13 near the intersection of Gillette Dr. in the Adams County Township of Dell Prairie.

Upon arrival of law enforcement, and an initial investigation, it was determined that 23-year-old Brandi Norton from Adams was walking along STH 13 after the vehicle she was in had run out of gas. Norton was struck by a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Shiwu Chen, also from Adams.

Norton was transported by Wisconsin Dells Ambulance to Divine Savior Hospital in Portage and then transported by Flight for Life to UW Hospital in Madison. At last report, Norton was listed in critical condition.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Wisconsin State Patrol and Wisconsin Dells Ambulance. This incident remains under investigation.
