Police Respond to Deadly Motorcycle Crash in Janesville

From the Janesville Police Department:

On 09-18-2012 at 8:54 P.M. Janesville Police Department patrol officers responded to a report of a one vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Ruger Av. approximately 0.1 miles west of the I-90 overpass. It was determined that the motorcyclist was westbound on Ruger Av. when he struck a stationary piece of construction equipment parked along the curb in the westbound lanes of traffic.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center and pronounced dead. The Wisconsin State Patrol was dispatched to the scene to conduct an accident reconstruction. At this time it is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.

The identity of the motorcyclist is not being released pending notification of family
