Police arrest Middleton teen for credit card theft during shopping spree

Madison Police arrested a Middleton teenager accused of stealing credit cards from a west side health club. Officers say the suspect was in the midst of a shopping spree at East Towne Mall.

Two men had their wallets stolen while they were working out at the Princeton Club on Watts Rd. Monday.

On Wednesday, police arrested 17-year-old Levontre Scott at the mall. Officers say he tried to assume the identity of one of the card holders while being questioned. Police found several credit cards tucked into his sock. They belonged to the two victims.

One of the victims had $2,000 is fraudulent charges on one card.

Officers say Scott purchased new electronics, watches and tennis shoes at the mall.
