On January 20, 2013, at approximately 3:00 PM, JOHN D. ANGELL, age 48 of Portage, WI was stopped for an equipment violation in the Township of Delton, Sauk County.
During the course of the stop the deputy noted an odor of intoxicants coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by two adults. The deputy suspected the driver was under the influence of intoxicants and asked him to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed. Angell was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated 5th Offense and issued a written warning for the equipment violation. Angell was incarcerated in the Sauk County Jail.
