Press Release from earlier today:
The Streets Division has closed Pleasant View Road from Mineral Point Rd to Valley View Rd and County Highway M due to large snow drifts. It is estimated that this section of road will remain closed until approximately Noon.
"High winds and yesterday's snowfall have combined to create snow drifts up to 20 feet high on portions of Pleasant View Road," Streets Division spokesperson George Dreckmann said. "We have staff and equipment working to clear the road. However, the continued high winds are making that task difficult."
Windy conditions are expected to continue throughout the day on Tuesday. The Streets Division will have equipment ready to keep Pleasant View Road open. Drivers are urged to use caution in this area and on other open areas in the City where snow will continue to blow over streets and roads.
