Monday, customers at Metcalfe's Market on Madison's West Side showed no signs of concern ahead of Thursday's expected snowfall. Many people say they are waiting for Wednesday to stock up.
However, Dane County Emergency Management officials say that's the wrong thing to do. They say it's crucial that you be ready for any situation. That means leaving a blanket in your car, filling your tank up with gas, buying food early, and making sure your dressed for the cold.
On Wednesday, Woodman's plans to have extra staff on hand in case of an increase in customers. But officials say waiting until Wednesday could be too late.
