Prisoner Tries to Escape from Green Co. Court Room

Information from the Green Co. Sheriff's Office:

PRISONER ESCAPE:

August 14: At 3:38 PM, Deputies assigned to bailiff duty at the Green County Justice Center transported Jillian A. Gowen, 25, of Monticello, from the Green County Jail to the Justice Center for court proceedings.

While at the Justice Center, Gowen escaped from the restraints and fled on foot out of the court room. Deputies pursued Gowen and took her into custody in the parking lot of the Sheriff’s Department. Gowen was charged with Felony Escape and held in the Green County Jail.

    I feel very offended by this comment that was left. not only is it judgemental (does Finally know what Jill has been through? what her daily struggles are? who is Finally to say what has led to this poor girls fate?!?! if she has been such a PROBLEM for years...all I ask is how many people in this community offered help to this problem?!?!?! that's what I assumed. don't judge. we are what society has made us.

    It is sad to see someone throw their life away for drugs. She has been a prob in green county for years, maybe she will clean up her act. Look at all her arresst in the public record
