MADISON — On Wednesday, January 16, 2013, Paul A. Phillips, of Reeseville, was charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography after an investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Justice — Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), with assistance from the Reeseville Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department. A review hearing in this case is scheduled for January 23, 2013, at 8:15 am in Dodge County Circuit Court.

On January 15, 2013, special agents with the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), along with deputies from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department, made contact with Phillips at his home, located at 229 S. Main St. in Reeseville, WI. According to the Criminal Complaint, one of the defendant’s email addresses had been identified as being associated with child pornography, and a forensic preview of a computer hard drive revealed evidence of child pornography.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Department is an affiliate of Wisconsin’s ICAC Task Force. Questions concerning this case should be directed to the Dodge County District Attorney's Office. A defendant enjoys the presumption of innocence. The prosecution must prove its allegations at trial beyond a reasonable doubt.
