A 11-year-old female has been arrested in connection with the stabbing and was taken to the Dane County Juvenile Reception Center.
The 11-year-old victim is currently hospitalized and is in stable condition.

At approximately 6:50 p.m. on 7/14/12, police responded to a weapons violation in the 1600 block of Capital Avenue involving two juveniles. One juvenile was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment with what appears to be non life threatening injuries. Police are in contact with the other juvenile. The investigation is ongoing.

Madison Police are on the scene of a reported stabbing.
The call came in a little before 7:00 Saturday night. It happened in the 1600 block of Capital Avenue.
According to Dane County Dispatch, the victim is a child.
Police are not releasing any information at this time.
