MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Wisconsin native is recovering after the shooting rampage at a Denver area movie theater showing the new Batman movie. Twenty-seven-year-old Carey Rottman and his friend were wounded by the gunman who killed 12 people and wounded nearly 60 others. A 15-year-old Plymouth girl was in an adjacent theater when the gunman began shooting in Aurora, Colorado early yesterday.
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — Residents are back in their homes after an ammonia leak at a milk processor forced an evacuation in Fond du Lac. Fire Chief Peter O'Leary says the leak was reported just after 4 p.m. yesterday at Milk Specialties. All employees were able to get out of the building safely. Several residents were evacuated as a precaution.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Delta Air Lines flight has made an unscheduled landing at Louisville International Airport. A Delta Airlines spokeswoman said flight 2035 from Milwaukee to Atlanta carried 149 passengers and a crew of five. No one was hurt and the plane taxied to the gate around 6:30 p.m. yesterday.
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — A teenager has pleaded no contest in a Fond du Lac County crash that killed three of her friends last February. WLUK-TV reports 18-year-old Carly Ottery of Campbellsport entered her plea yesterday. Ottery was charged with three counts of homicide by negligent use of a vehicle.
