From the Dane County Sheriff's Office:
Madison, WI. February 7, 2013 – Icy roads caused a Belleville School District bus to slide-off Moorehead Road at Highway 69 this morning, but all 19 children on board were safe.
Dane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the slide-off at 7:35 am in the town of Montrose. The driver was approaching a stop sign at low speed when the glare ice caused the bus to slide off the road. The bus came to rest against a large tree that kept the bus from turning over in the ditch.
The children ranged in age, and only one child reported a minor injury. Another bus responded to the scene to pick up the children and take them to school. No citations will be issued.
