In the Town of Sharon, you can find acres of bean plants sprawling across the rural land.

Rentcsch says because it’s so rural, she never heard the gunfire, but she says she feels the impact in the area she’s called home for more than two decades.

“Never in all the years I’ve lived here — we’ve never had anything like that. That’s a very rare occurrence. I’ve never ever heard of something like that. That’s too bad,” Rentcsch said.
