The following story is from our sister station NBC5, in Chicago, Illinois.
Authorities said a small plane landed on Lake Shore Drive Sunday.
The experimental 2000 Coyote aircraft had an issue with its tail, officials said, causing the plane to shake uncontrollably, which forced the pilot to make an emergency landing.
The pilot managed to land safely along Lake Shore Drive and only suffered minor injuries.
The pilot was the only person in the two-seat aircraft, according to authorities.
All lanes of Lake Shore Drive were reopened by 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
