At 4:00 PM on Sunday March 10, 2013 a crash occurred on Highway N at Faber Road in DANE County near COTTAGE GROVE.
Assisting agencies included Dane County Sherrif’s Office, Madison EMS, Marshall EMS, Deer Grove EMS, Sun Prairie EMS, Cottage Grove Fire Department, and Dane County Highway Department.
The crash involved 4 injuries. Vehicle and occupant information, if available, is on attached page(s).
The details of the crash are as follows:
A Ford Crown Victoria was stopped on Highway N attempting to turn west on Faber Road. A blue Chevrolet pickup truck was stopped behind the Ford waiting for it to complete its turn. A Mazda Millenia was northbound and failed to stop for the stopped traffic and it crashed into Chevrolet pickup, as a result the Chevrolet pickup was pushed forward into the Ford. The Chevrolet came to a final rest in the eastbound ditch and started on fire. After the impact the Mazda veered into the northbound lane where it collided with a southbound GMC pickup. The investigation is still on-going.
