The Janesville Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire at a former tavern.
Crews responded around 7 p.m. Friday night to the 100-block of West Delevan Drive.
Smoke and flames were coming from the vacant building that used to be a tavern and apartments.
Fire officials say the fire was suspicious because there were multiple small fires throughout the building when they arrived. Also, they say the door to the building was unlocked.
The building used is owned by Adria Properties LLC, a company in Homer Glen, Illinois.
The fire caused about $10,000 dollars in damage. No one was injured.
