Release from Sun Prairie Police Department:

At 9:28pm on 5/15/2012, a motor vehicle vs. pedestrian accident occurred just east of the intersection of STH 19/Windsor St. & Davison Dr. in the City of Sun Prairie. The driver of the 2000 Ford Explorer, Gerald Scalissi, was traveling eastbound on STH19/Windsor St. through the intersection with Davison Dr. as a 17 year old male subject ran southbound across STH19, not in the crosswalk. Statements from witnesses, Scalissi, and the juvenile male concluded the juvenile male ran out in front of Scalissi, giving no time to react or brake. Sun Prairie EMS transported the juvenile to the St. Mary's Emergency Department in Sun Prairie. Initial appearances indicated that the juvenile sustained non-life threatening injuries. Scalissi was not cited and alcohol was not a factor.
