TOWN OF DUNN, Wis. (AP) -- Sheriff's officials say three people are dead in an early morning crash in Dane County.

Authorities say a car left Highway 51 in the Town of Dunn about 2:30 a.m. Friday and struck two trees. Two men were thrown from the car. A woman was pinned in the back seat. All three were pronounced dead at the scene. They were the only people in the 1993 Olds Cutlass.

Officials say the car was southbound on Highway 51 and veered off into the right side ditch. Investigators say it appears the driver over corrected and crossed back to the opposite ditch where it continued down an embankment and hit the trees.

The victims have not been identified.

From The Dane County Sheriff's Office:

At approximately 2:31 a.m., deputies from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, officers from the McFarland Police Department, along with Stoughton Fire Department and EMS units responded to the intersection of USH 51 and Schneider Dr., in the Town of Dunn, for a single vehicle vs. tree crash.

Upon the arrival of deputies, it was determined that two adult males had been ejected from the vehicle, with a third passenger, an adult female, pinned in the back seat. All three were pronounced deceased at the scene. There were no other occupants.

The initial investigation indicates that the 1993 Olds Cutlass had been traveling southbound on USH 51, when it veered off into the right side ditch.
