UPDATE: Madison Police search for person of interest in beating

UPDATED Monday, June 2, 2014 --- 2:47 p.m.

Madison Police are searching for a person of interest in a downtown beating.

The incident happened around 2:15 a.m. on May 14th. Three men were knocked to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked. It happened near the intersection of W. Johnson St. and North Frances St.

Police have released video that you can watch below. Anyone with information on the man in the video should call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.

Madison Police say three men were knocked to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked Wednesday morning. One person has been cited in the case, but officers are searching for others.

The attack happened around 2:15 a.m. at the corner of W. Johnson St. and North Frances St.

One of the victims lost consciousness and suffered a broken orbital bone.

The three victims were attacked by six to seven men. Witnesses pointed police toward one alleged attacker. 19-year-old Zachary Slaby was cited for disorderly conduct.

Police are still looking for others who may be involved, and are investigating the cause of the violence.
