There are plenty of haunted houses you can check out in the area.. But for one Janesville woman, she really doesn't have to go far to get spooked. All she has to do is open her own front door.

Halloween decorations are going up all over our area. but outside Terri Olsen's Janesville home, everything is normal.

“Yes, this is the entrance to the haunted house!”

But once you step inside, things get scary!

“Halloween is a lifestyle,” said Olsen “Not a holiday,”

Terri is the self-proclaimed queen of Halloween!

“I've always been a big kid when it comes to Halloween,”

Her home is jam-packed with thousands of dollars worth of decorations.

“I've been collecting for years,” she said “I have 17 totes that go in the attic and at least that much in the basement. Every year I try to buy myself something new,”

A lot of her favorite decorations are motion and/or sound activated.

“Yeah this is my favorite room cause everything comes out at ya in this room!” she said of her living room.

“So I like things to take people by surprise and when everything goes off at the same time, it's sort of hard to hear...when everything is turned on you can't even watch TV in here,”

“My dad bought me that, he saw it and said Terri has to have one of those!” she said of a dancing and singing skeleton.

Every room in her home looks like this, except one.

the only room i don't decorate is the bedroom my husband put a line in the sand there nothing goes in there.

Things are starting to getting a little tight in here.

“As you can see I am really starting to run out of room!”

That's why she's looking to expand.

“I'd love to be able to add more every year but I think we'd have to add another addition to the house that's for sure,”

Olsen said she shares her love of Halloween with one other person: her 9-year-old nephew.
