A local man's attention to detail has landed him a pretty distinct honor. Ryan Fielding has pretty much spent his entire life inside the body shop fixing up and tricking out old cars and motorcycles.

But a new project recently came along that he just couldn't turn down. From the tattoos on his arms to the hair on his face, for Ryan Fielding art is everything.

“It's just been a passion of mine,” said Fielding.

That's why he's made art his life's work

“This bike will be 100% hand made,”

He owns Paragon Customs in Sauk City.

“We specialize in pretty much anything custom,” said Fielding.

He can take a twisted heap of metal and turn it into something sweet.

“This is a '52 Plymouth, it's highly modified. These things are just a blast to drive,” he added.

His talent is unmistakable.

“Since I was a kid I've been messing with bikes and cars,” Fielding commented.

And that's why the University of Wisconsin came to him with a very important request.

“To be chosen by the Wisconsin Badgers and a team that high in standing, it was a definitely a very huge complement to me,”

Ryan designed and painted all three of the badger goalie masks for the hockey team.

“There's pieces of each of them that I really like,”

He sat down with each player then got to work.

“They each get a lot of control in what they get on their masks,” Ryan explained. “I did some stuff to them that made them special and made them stand apart from maybe other masks around the league,”

Each mask took about 30 to 35 hours just to paint!

“It's a lot more work than people think,” he said. “When I'm airbrushing or pin striping, I kind of get into my own little zone,”

From at a tricked out bike to a highly detailed goalie mask, each piece of art from Ryan Fielding is hand made.
