Tomorrow is the deadline to register to vote by mail.

That means it's decision time for people who aren't sure what state they want to vote in.

There was a big voter registration push across the city of Madison today and for some, if they were going to vote was never a question, they needed to decide if they were going to vote here in Wisconsin

UW Junior Patrick O'Neill is one of dozens of people who stopped to register and pledged to vote with the Rock The Vote volunteers on the Library Mall.

He said, "It's very cool. I mean, that's why we're here. That's democracy."

Today O'Neill decided he'd vote here in Wisconsin where he goes to school instead of voting absentee back back home in Minnesota.

He said, "I definitely think it's a battleground state and it's very interesting to be able to really have your vote matter where you're living."

A DJ and a handful of volunteers are just the beginning of what the Rock The Vote tour is rolling out to make the whole process easy and appealing for students

They also had a tent set up where people could play the unreleased new video game Assassins III.

But a lot of the people stopping said they don't need any of the bells and whistles to want to register.

UW student Samantha Hersil said, "I think voting is really important."

Across town at the Village on Park Mall they may have turned the volume down but the volunteers were just as helpful, the process just as easy.

Jennifer Niklaus is new to the area and stopped to register.

She said, "I can just come here on lunch break "

O'Neill and Niklaus may be registering in different places but their motivation is quite similar.

Niklaus said, "It's only my second opportunity to vote for president."

O'Neill said, "This is my first presidential election though so I'm pretty excited."

After tomorrow you can still register but will have to do it in person at your clerks office or at your polling place.
