Press Release from the Dane Co. Sheriff's Office:
At approximately 4:12 p.m., Dane County Sheriff’s Office deputies along with Cottage Grove, Deerfield, Stoughton, Blooming Grove, and McFarland Fire Department responded to 2678 Church St. in the Town of Pleasant Springs for a house fire that was called in by a neighbor who reported seeing smoke and fire coming from the residence. When deputies arrived at the scene, the house was fully engulfed.
None of the residents were at home at the time of the fire.
The home is believed to be a total loss and the cause remains under investigation by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
