A daily lane closure will occur on southbound Verona Rd. at the Beltline interchange beginning Monday, April 28th.
The closure will be 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. and will continue through May 2nd.
Two lanes will remain open on southbound Verona Rd.
Drivers should expect delays in the area. They should use the signed alternate route of Highway 14 (the Park St. exit) and County M to access Verona Rd./US 18/151.
Bridge crews will start the repairs to the damaged beam from the bridge hit on April 9th. The bridge remains safe for traffic traveling on the Beltline and Verona Road.
The outside shoulder of the westbound Beltline at the interchange will be closed long-term due to this incident.
UPDATED Wednesday, April 9, 2014 --- 3:06 p.m.
The DOT says delays and backups will continue into the afternoon rush hour at the Beltline and Verona Road interchange after a truck hit the bridge Wednesday morning.
Drivers should used the Park Street exit and County M to access Verona Road.
The outside shoulder of the westbound Beltline at the interchange will be closed due to the incident.

A truck hit the bridge at the Beltline and Verona Road Wednesday morning. It got stuck and caused traffic delays.
The DOT said crews are assessing the situation. Traffic delays were expected to continue over the next few hours.
