SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) -- A judge has sentenced a 21-year-old Sheboygan man to 18 years in prison for a shooting that killed one man and wounded another outside a Walmart. Kou Yang also will be on extended supervision for 12 years after serving his prison time. A jury in July found Yang guilty of felony counts of first-degree reckless homicide and first-degree reckless injury.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- Lake Michigan's Chinook salmon are doing so well that Michigan has decided to sharply reduce its stocking of the popular game fish. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will cut its annual Chinook stocking in the lake by two-thirds, from 1.67 million to 560,000. The change begins in 2013.

APPLETON, Wis. (AP) -- More details are emerging about Michelle Obama's return trip to Wisconsin this week. The first lady will speak to grassroots supporters at Lawrence University in Appleton Friday. She will encourage Wisconsin residents to help organize their communities between now and the Nov. 6 election.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- U.S. Attorney James Santelle is considering ordering a federal investigation into the death of a man who died in Milwaukee police custody. Santelle also is considering authorizing an investigation into a possible pattern of civil rights abuses by the Milwaukee Police Department.
