MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Virginia's governor will be in Green Bay tonight to campaign on behalf of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Republican Bob McDonnell is hosting a dinner tonight. Earlier in the day, he'll visit with campaign volunteers in Appleton.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities have released the name of a University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student who died during an apartment fire yesterday. Twenty-one-year-old Ross Livermore was a computer science major. His three roommates were also injured.
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee County authorities have released the name of a 7-year-old who died in a weekend house fire. Joelle Creasy wasn't able to make it out of the burning home. An adult and four other children were able to escape.
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Wisconsin natural resources officials say they plan to ask a state regulatory board for permission to tighten restrictions on firewood movement. DNR foresters want to prevent people from bringing in firewood that comes from more than 10 miles away. It's part of their effort to slow the spread of invasive species such as the emerald ash borer.
