TOWNSHIP OF LEEDS, Wis. (AP) -- Columbia County sheriff's officials have identified two people who were killed when their motorcycle was struck by a semi.
Authorities say 17-year-old Jeremy Brewster and 18-year-old Trevor Jones, both of Madison, died when the semi crossed the centerline on Highway 51 Tuesday evening in the Township of Leeds and struck the teens' bike.
WMTV-TV reports the driver of the semi, a 39-year-old Portage man, wasn't hurt. The crash is still under investigation.

On July 10, 2012 at 5:03pm the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on USH 51 at STH 22 in the Township of Leeds. The crash involved a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer unit.
The driver of the motorcycle Jeremy D Brewster age 17 and passenger Trevor C Jones age 18 both of Madison were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia County Medical Examiner’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team.

Release from Columbia County Sheriff's Department:
On July 10, 2012 at 5:03pm the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash on USH 51 at STH 22. This location is approximately 5 miles south of the Village of Arlington in southern Columbia County.
The preliminary investigation confirms that a semi tractor-trailer unit was travelling south on USH 51. The semi tractor-trailer unit crossed over the centerline and struck a motorcycle that was travelling north on USH 51.
The driver of the tractor-trailer unit is identified as CHAD M. COLLINS, age 39, of the City of Portage. Collins was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Collins did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
The driver and the passenger on the motorcycle were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Their identities are being withheld pending notification of their families.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol Traffic Crash Reconstruction Team, Arlington EMS, Arlington Fire, Columbia County Highway Department, US Hospital MedFlight, and Blystone Towing of Portage.
The crash remains under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbia County Medical Examiner’s Office.
