UPDATE: Two Teens Killed, 3rd Injured In Manitowoc County Crash

UPDATED: Wednesday, March 21, 2012 --- 7:30p.m.

MANITOWOC, Wis. (AP) -- Two teenagers have died and a third has been injured in a car crash in Manitowoc County.

Sheriff's officials say the teens' car left a county road and struck a large tree south of Manitowoc about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Sheriff Robert Hermann identifies the two passengers who died as Chelsie Harding and Zachary Zahn. Both were 16 and from Manitowoc. They were airlifted to hospitals in Milwaukee and Green Bay, where they were pronounced dead.

WOMT radio (http://bit.ly/GEG7Fs ) reports the 18-year-old male driver, from Whitelaw, was injured and taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

A 16-year-old female passenger was taken by helicopter to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee where she was pronounced dead. Authorities say a 16-year-old male passenger was taken by helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay where he later died. Both were from Manitowoc.

WOMT radio (http://bit.ly/GEG7Fs ) reports the 18-year-old male driver, from Whitelaw, was injured and taken to St. Vincent.
