UW-Madison Police are looking to speak to potential victims after a student was arrested for threatening another student over Craigslist.

19-year-old Devan McCambridge of Saukville has been charged with third degree sexual assault and threatening a victim.

Police say McCambridge posed as a woman and asked other women for personal information and explicit photos. Officers say McCambridge would then try to extort sexual favors from others, and would threaten to post the photos and personal information online if they did not comply with his demands.

UW-Madison police worked with a victim in the case to arrange a meeting with McCambridge, where he was arrested. He was charged Thursday.

Police believes there are many other victims that McCambridge targeted with this online scheme. If you believe you’re a victim, or if you have any other information about this crime, please call UWPD at (608) 264-COPS
