UPDATE: Wis. wife charged with killing husband

UPDATE: A Wisconsin woman is accused of killing her husband and disposing of his body.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- A Wisconsin woman is accused of killing her husband and disposing of his body.

Thirty-seven-year-old Eve Nance is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse.

A body believed to be that of Nance's husband, 37-year-old Timothy Nance, was found on Thanksgiving. Police say Nance had been missing since Nov. 1.

Eve Nance and another woman were arrested in the disappearance, but the other woman was released.

The complaint says Eve Nance told detectives her husband approached her in their home with a firearm, and the gun went off twice during a struggle.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- One of two women arrested in the disappearance of a man in Fond du Lac County has been released from jail.

WLUK-TV reports the Fond du Lac County Clerk of Courts Office says the woman was released at the request of the district attorney's office. She had been held on $50,000 bond.

A body believed to be that of 37-year-old Timothy Nance was found on Thanksgiving. Police say Nance had been missing since. Nov. 1. The other woman is still being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail. She has not been formally charged in the case and is being held on $100,000 cash bond.

Fond du Lac police and the district attorney plan to hold a news conference later Tuesday.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- Fond du Lac police say investigators have found a body believed to be that of a man who has been missing since Nov. 1.

Police released few details Thursday, and didn't say where the body was found. But they did say they believe it is 37-year-old Timothy Nance.

Positive identification will be confirmed pending an autopsy.

Officials say they plan to release more information at a news conference Tuesday.

Two women were arrested in connection with Nance's disappearance after his wife reported him missing on Nov. 5. At the time of the arrests, police said they suspected foul play.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) -- Police have arrested two women in connection with a Fond du Lac man's disappearance.

Thirty-seven-year-old Timothy Nance's wife reported him missing on Nov. 5. She said he was last seen on Nov. 1. Police believe Nance is dead and is likely the victim of foul play.

The Reporter Media reports police have arrested two women on suspicion of hiding a corpse and obstruction. Fond du Lac Police Chief Steve Klein declined to discuss what led to the arrests during a news conference Thursday.

Klein asked deer hunters who notice anything suspicious in the woods contact police. He did not elaborate on why police made the request.
