On February 19, 2013 at about 6:55 p.m. the victim of an assault came to the Wisconsin Dells police department to report the incident. The investigating officers were familiar with the suspect, 20 year old, Timothy Michael McEvoy.
The officers responded to McEvoy's last known location in the 900 block of Washington Avenue. On arrival an officer and a citizen witnessed a person crossing an alley and attempting to get into a neighboring residence in the 600 block of Race Street. Evidence at that location indicated that it was McEvoy that crossed the alley.
Due to McEvoy's history of assaultive behavior and weapons possession, officers set up a perimeter and requested the assistance from Columbia County Sheriff's Department's Emergency Response Team, while a warrant was secured.
Just prior to serving the warrant, phone contact was made with McEvory, and he turned himself in without further incident. He was later taken to the Columbia County Jail.
