Press Release from the Adams Co. Sheriff's Office:
On 12-12-12 at 12:44am the Adams County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a vehicle crash on CTH Z south of Fern Ave. in the Town of Springville.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle being driven by Jeffrey Hatcher, 27 of Wisconsin Dells, was traveling northbound when it entered the ditch, struck a tree and overturned. Hatcher was fatally injured in the crash, and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Medical Examiner.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Adams County Sheriff's Office, Medical Examiner's Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with crash reconstruction. The Adams County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Curtis Ambulance, Adams Fire Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
No further information is being released at this time.
