ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Businesses that transport products along the Mississippi River are still trying to get the government's help as the river approaches historic lows. The Army Corps of Engineers began reducing the outflow from an upper Missouri River reservoir on Friday as part of a plan to ease drought conditions. The move will reduce the amount of water flowing into the Mississippi River and could mean further restrictions on barge traffic or even a partial closure of the river.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Wisconsin's on pace to have its warmest year on record. Through November 24th, the average temperature in Milwaukee was 54 degrees. It was 53.8 degrees for Madison.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig is set to deliver a speech on ethics tomorrow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The lecture is part of the business school's ethics week and is open to the public. Selig is a former owner of the Milwaukee Brewers.

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The nation's top amateur triathletes will be competing in Milwaukee during the next two summers when the city hosts the USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships. The two-day event will take place in August.
