MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The Wisconsin Department of Justice will hold its annual open government seminars again this fall.

DOJ experts will explain key principles of the state's open meetings and open records laws during the three-hour sessions. The first seminar is scheduled for Oct. 17 in Madison. The second is set for Oct. 27 in Pewaukee.

Each seminar is free and open to the public as well as governmental officials. Space will be limited, however, and the agency asks that participants register through DOJ's website beginning Sept. 2.

The agency also has scheduled 90-minute webinars on Nov. 6.
