Press Release from the Adams Co. Sheriff's Department:

On 2-10-13 at 11:47am the Adams County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a vehicle crash on STH 82 just east of 2nd Ave. in the Town of Jackson.

Investigation revealed that a westbound vehicle being driven by Cerissa Hart, 26 of Oxford, lost control on the ice covered road and crossed the center line. An eastbound semi truck and trailer being operated by Joseph Sobeck, 40 of Elroy, could not avoid the crash and struck Hart's vehicle head on. Hart was ejected, and was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Adams County Medical Examiner. Hart was not wearing her seatbelt.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reconstruction team was called to assist in the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation by the Adams County Sheriff's Office, Medical Examiner's Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The Adams County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Marquette County Ambulance, Oxford Fire Department, Marquette County Highway Department, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.

No further information is being released at this time.
