UPDATE: Madison Police have arrested a man who allegedly put a gun to a woman

UPDATED Wednesday, May 15, 2013 --- 10:43 a.m.

Madison Police say they have arrested 17-year-old Maurice Neal on a tentative charge of attempted armed robbery.

He allegedly put a gun to a 40-year-old Mt. Horeb woman's head in a bathroom stall last week at the West Towne Mall.


UPDATED Thursday, May 9, 2013 --- 12:01 p.m.

Madison Police believe this crime was random.

The suspect did not get anything in the attempted robbery, but it has left the victim shaken.

Police describe the suspect as: M/B 20's black jacket with hood pulled up, black jeans, shoes with white on them, 5'8" medium build, black fabric covering the lower half of his face.

A man robbed a woman at gunpoint Wednesday night in a bathroom stall at West Towne Mall.

Police say the victim was in the stall at 7:48, when a man entered an adjoining stall. He crawled under the divider into the woman's stall, and pressed a handgun to her head.

He demanded money, then told her to turn around as he left. Police are still investigation.
