MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A woman testifying in a federal civil-rights trial says she saw nudity as she watched Milwaukee police conduct an outdoor strip search that a defendant alleges was illegal.
A Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report says Alexandria Wright testified Tuesday that she saw Leo Hardy's buttocks. Another woman says she saw Hardy with his pants around his ankles.
The 40-year-old Hardy is one of about 50 people suing the city and police department, alleging that officers conducted improper strip and cavity searches.
Hardy testified that Officer Michael Gasser searched him by putting a bare hand down the front and back of his pants. Hardy also says Officer Michael Valuch Jr. pulled Hardy's pants down in public.
Gasser's then-partner, Keith Garland Jr., testified that he didn't see Hardy commit a crime or traffic violation.
