Thanksgiving night, a dispute between two shoppers waiting in line outside a local store ends in an arrest. Now, both women want their side of the story heard.

Hundreds of people were in line just before 10 o'clock Thursday night, waiting for the Toys R' Us in the West Towne Mall to open. .

One shopper says she saw someone cut in line and decided to tell her off.

Despite the freezing temps, things got a little heated Thursday night in front of Toys R' Us. Hundreds of people were outside waiting in line for the store to open for Black Friday.

“A lot of people were cutting in line and a lot of people were being rude,” said 21-year-old Lanessa Lattimore.

Lattimore is accused of trying to cut in line.

“I was not butting in line. I was waiting in line like everyone else. I was taking myself to the end of the line like I was supposed to be doing and in doing so I was harassed by these girls,” said Lattimore.

Nichole Retallick says she confronted Lattimore and that's when things got serious.

“We just kind of got into an argument and then she decided that she was going to tell me that she was going to go to her car and get a gun and shoot me in the face,” said Retallick.

Lattimore says that's simply not true.

“I don't have a gun, I don't know why she said that or where that came from. I don't do violent acts, I'm not a violent person,” said Lattimore.

Nichole says the line at Toys R' Us on Thursday night was painfully long with hundreds of people in back of her and hundreds of people in front of her. She says she wasn't going to stand in line quietly while someone tried to cut in line.

“I knew no one else would say anything, everyone just kind of looked and let her go, I'm not the kind of person to just get stepped on like that,” said Retallick.

Police eventually arrested and charged Lattimore with disorderly conduct.

“I just feel like this whole situation is blown out of proportion,” said Lattimore.

Retallick says the other people waiting in the line can back up her story.

“They (police) went over to the line and were like 'how many people heard this?' and 15 to 20 people put their hands up in the air, they all witnessed,” said Retallick.

But Lattimore believes she's being targeted for no reason.

“I just feel like I'm being, in a way, victimized,”

Lattimore is scheduled to be in court next Thursday. She says she plans pleading not guilty to the disorderly conduct charge.
